Disabled Access at aMaizin!

Accessibility

aMaizin! welcomes people with disabilities and has developed the Access Statement to address some of the more common issues that disabled people face.

This access statement is intended to provide additional information for all guests who wish to attend the attraction or use its facilities. Recognition has been given to include guests with an impairment, which could include: Mobility, Sight, Hearing, Learning Disabilities or any other hidden impairment.

aMaizin! aims to ensure that all employees, guests and others who use, or assist in, the provision of our services – whether they have a mobility difficulty, a visual impairment, are deaf or hard of hearing, are deaf blind, have a speech impairment or difficulty, have a learning difficulty or mental health disability, use a wheelchair, cane, walking frame or crutches, or have any other disability – are treated equally and according to their needs.

aMaizin! Is on a local bus route and is easily accessible by car and has three car-parks available. There are a number of disabled spaces available outside aMaizin! Craft for badge holders. If these are full and you have a passenger with mobility problems, please contact our staff at the entrance who will locate a staff member to provide additional designated disabled spaces.

The attraction is based on a farm in a countryside area, and is not composed of hard surfaces. We realize that our commitment to the environment may cause mobility issues for people in wheelchairs and the ground may be uneven in places.  Lightweight wheelchairs are more suitable at this attraction.

We regret we do not hire wheelchairs as we do find that mobility transport is mostly based on personal preference.

We have endeavoured to provide ramps and paths throughout the attraction for your convenience. When the maze opens on 01st July annually the paths are rollered to ensure minimal trip hazards.

Tables and benches are intermitted throughout the AdventurePark for your convenience.

We operate an integrated disabled strategy which endeavours to ensure not only that we provide disabled equipment but that our disabled equipment is such that it will also be used by non-disabled persons ensuring integration and incorporation with other more able bodied customers, especially children.

We have proved popular with many disabled groups and receive regular return visits from associations such as the Deaf Society. We also have positive feedback from local season ticket holders who have disabled children and find that many disabilities such as Autism can benefit from our surroundings.

We welcome enquiries to ensure that your visit is as smooth as possible.
